I am humbled to welcome you all to this year’s Agricultural Society of Kenya Kitale National Show which opens its gates to the public from 26th – 29th October, 2016. The show will cover Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, parts of Bungoma and Turkana Counties.

I take this opportunity to thank the stakeholders, business community, show committee members, Exhibitors and all those who have contributed immensely to this year’s show preparation.

Agriculture is one of the most crucial sectors ear marked under the Economic Pillar for attainment of Vision 2030. The biggest labour force is employed in this sector. Fortunately, our region is arable with most of our population living in the rural areas and they rely on agriculture as their main source of livelihood.

The ASK North Rift National Show –Kitale, is in the front line in disseminating information technology to improve agriculture, livestock, fisheries, trade, agro forestry, machineries tissue culture, among others. This is bound to make a significant contribution to Kenya as a food secure country.

I therefore invite farmers (seasoned and young) to visit the Kitale showground, to learn and be informed of latest farming technologies lined up from various exhibitors from within our region and other areas. There will be lots of entertainment in the arena.

In organizing the show, we received tremendous support from the Government and Private sector and I would sincerely wish to thank them ALL for their great contribution. Thank you and God bless.

Make sure you are part of this show. Welcome!
